How to Use the Minecraft Seed Map

Enter your world seed at the top left of the screen. If you type words (like "gargamel"), the map uses the exact Java string hashing algorithm to convert it to its numeric equivalent. You can drag to pan around the infinite world grid, and use the scroll wheel or the zoom buttons to inspect specific regions.

Version-aware world generation

Seed Map V2 runs a pinned Cubiomes build in WebAssembly. Biome IDs, supported structure candidates, spawn estimates, and slime chunks come from that provider; the UI does not fall back to a home-grown world generator when the engine is unavailable.

Java vs Bedrock Seeds

Java and Bedrock do not share all placement rules. This release is deliberately Java-only and Overworld-only, so it never labels Java structure data as Bedrock output.

Slime Chunks Explained

In Java Edition, one out of every ten chunks (roughly 10%) is designated as a "Slime Chunk". Below layer Y=40 in these specific chunks, slimes will spawn regardless of the light level. This is the only reliable way to build massive slime farms for endless sticky pistons and slime blocks. Simply hover over a green square on our map to get the exact chunk X/Z coordinates.
